10 Last-Minute Predictions For X-Men: Apocalypse
5. Apocalypse's Giant Attack Is A Dream Sequence
The Prediction: The sequence in which Apocalypse grows to a giant size and attacks Xavier is just a dream sequence.
Why It'll Happen: Because otherwise the movie has something of a problem controlling Apocalypse's powers: if this interpretation of the character can become a giant at-will, then why wouldn't he just do that in the film's climax and utterly destroy all the X-Men? This way, Bryan Singer gets to give fans a trippy look at Apocalypse as a giant without needing to solve the problem of him being "over-powered".
Plus, we know the film already has a Jean Grey nightmare sequence, so this could be part of that, or a second dream scene isn't really much of a stretch.
Why It Might Not: There's a shot in the trailer of Apocalypse lurking outside the Xavier School, which doesn't seem the least-bit dreamlike, so maybe this is the real deal.
