Robot Monster has defined the "Bad sci-fi movie genre" so well that it almost appeared in my earlier article, but I decided to leave it out because I believe it fits better in this one. As you can see from the given screenshot, the terrifying monster is a rather snazzy combination of an old gorilla suit, a diving helmet and some TV antennas. It's almost as if this particular monster was created so that its picture could appear next to the definition of the word "lame" in the dictionary. I have to admit that the movie had earned quite a lot of money - around $1,000,000 with a very puny budget of $16,000 dollars. If that isn't impressive enough, note that the whole thing was taken in only four days. Yes, the entire feature. It was the first appearance of the Paranormal Activity effect, with the main difference being that this flick was very, very bad. If you aren't sure how can a creature such as this Ro-Man (I am serious, yes) destroy about 99.99% of human race, neither am I. The thing had some sort of death ray that killed everybody except for the family next door. He has to murder them the old fashioned way. The only problem is that to escape from this creature, you simply have to walk away. No, not run, but walk away at a leisurely pace. And the Ro-Man still manages to kill nearly everybody anyway. Good thing only the dumbest people survived the death ray.
