10 Legacy Horror Movie Sequels Everyone Actually Wants To See

The hardest thing about making a legacy sequel is to find a way to include the original characters without it coming across as forced fan-service.

However, one film series that should have no trouble with this issue is Anne Rice's first instalment of The Vampire Chronicles, Interview with The Vampire. Even though the film had a satisfying ending, the story could continue since the two main characters, Louis (Brad Pitt) and Lestat (Tom Cruise), are still alive.

Now, there's a few reasons why another entry should work. Since Pitt and Cruise age like actual vampires, they would look pretty much the same if they returned. Because Cruise has recently revisited Top Gun and Mission: Impossible, he might be keen on reprising the role that proved he was more than just an action star. And since Rice wrote numerous novels revolving around Lestat, there's plenty of material that can be implemented into a movie sequel.

Alternatively, the follow-up could tell a new story centred around Louis. Perhaps we could see the French nobleman trying to mentor a vampire to make up for his failure at mentoring Claudia. Because the recent TV adaption of Interview with the Vampire has sparked interest in Rice's work once again, a Vampire Chronicles sequel isn't too far-fetched.
