10 Legacy Horror Movie Sequels Everyone Actually Wants To See

You have to commend Chris Rock for trying to soft-reboot the Saw series with the horror thriller, Spiral. Unfortunately, this attempt at reinvigorating the franchise just didn't work.

But what else can you do with the Saw series? Because Jigsaw died all the way back in Saw III, there are very few avenues the story can take, while still tying the narrative to the original film.

However, there is one unresolved subplot which many fans would be eager to see being explored. What happened to Jigsaw's former victim-turned-apprentice, Dr. Lawrence Gordon? The last time we saw Cary Elwes' character, he disposed of Jigsaw's corrupt lackey, Hoffman, before shuffling off into the dark.

Because Gordon embraced Jigsaw's "Live or Die" philosophy and assisted him with his "games", it's safe to assume the good doctor wouldn't just walk away from that life after his master died.

So, the big question is - why hasn't there been a Saw sequel about Gordon becoming the new arch-villain? Because we initially saw him as a troubled and flawed protagonist, it would be fascinating to see Gordon fully embrace Jigsaw's legacy.
