10 Legacy Horror Movie Sequels Everyone Actually Wants To See

Gremlins left a massive mark on cinema despite the fact it only spawned two instalments. Chris Columbus' films inspired tons of mini-monster rip-offs, such as Ghoulies, Hobgoblins, and Troll. Even though the last entry debuted decades ago, Gremlins keep popping up in other mediums, including Space Jam, The Lego Batman Movie, and MultiVersus, proving fans still want to see these little critters.

But if a Gremlins film is in the works, let's hope its a sequel, rather than a reboot. Because the original story was tied so deeply to Gizmo's relationship with Billy, it wouldn't work without him.

Although Billy was originally depicted as timid and unassertive, it would be interesting to see him return as a deeply troubled man. After all, if you had to spend decades looking after a pet who could multiply into a million monsters, you'd be left on edge as well. Billy could also be depicted like Gizmo's original owner, Mr. Wing, warning others of the dangers of owning a Mogwai, after experiencing it first-hand.

Although Phoebe Cates has retired from acting, it would awesome to see her character Kate appear in Gremlins 3. Hell, if she shows up just to perform another unnecessarily depressing monologue, fans should be satisfied.
