10 Lesser Known Comics That NEED To Be Movies
8. X-Factor
The New Mutants movie is soon to be released, which opens the door for mutant teams beyond the X-Men. Which is why it is time to start talking about X-Factor. There have been various incarnations of the team including the original five X-Men, who were the first.
Peter David's run on the team was called X-Factor Investigations. David introduced the team as an investigation agency, which was run by Jamie Madrox, as known as Multiple Man. Other members include two fan favourites, Shatterstar and Rictor, who in this run shared the first LGBT kiss in comics.
The run was inspired by X-Files and character-driven focusing on those mutants often forgotten. They were edgier than the other mutant teams at Marvel. These characters soon become popular with readers through their unique personalities and relationships.
This is the version of the team that should be seen on the big screen. A movie adaptation could help bring mutants into the MCU without revisiting the usual group or continue New Mutants' momentum with what is left of Fox's Marvel universe.
In 2017 there was a huge buzz around a Multiple Man movie in development with James Franco playing Madrox. Fanart was made and the former Harry Osborn seemed keen on returning to the superhero genre. An X-Factor movie would give him that chance and bring some friends with him for the ride.
