10 Lesser Known Romantic Comedies (That Guys Can Watch)
3. The Science Of Sleep (2006)
This is probably the most well-known film on the list because of Michel Gondry who directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Again, Gondry ventures into the realm of dreams in this highly creative and offbeat film. The story follows the incredibly inventive Stéphane (Gael García Bernal) who has problems when he sleeps; he often confuses dreams with reality. Because of that, the film flows between dreams and reality and it is tough for the audience to know what is real and what isn't. His confusion becomes a problem when he begins to fall for the girl next door Stephanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg). The Science of Sleep is one of the more heart wrenching stories on the list. Stéphane is really not good at dealing with relationships. He is an awkward, lonely man who acts childish because love has made him dumb. The worst part is anyone who has been in love can probably relate to that, at least once in their life.
