7. Edward Norton Is (Probably) The Victim - Glass Onion

While the trailers for Knives Out freely revealed the identity of the murder victim, sequel Glass Onion played things a little more vague, not outright assigning victim status to any one of its ensemble cast, though certainly implying who the corpse might be.

The suspiciously minimal presence of Edward Norton's tech magnate Miles Bron throughout most of the trailers, only occasionally showing his face in shots of unknowable context, seemed to suggest that he wouldn't survive past the first act.

Hell, Bron even literally states that the murder-mystery game he's devised will feature him as the victim. Why wouldn't a filmmaker as playful as Rian Johnson then make Miles the actual victim, right?

But as it turns out, the real victim is perhaps the least likely and certainly the most physically imposing character in the movie - Duke Cody (Dave Bautista).

The trailer was carefully cut to show just enough of Dave Bautista in various scenes to ensure nobody suspected his demise, while the billionaire tech mogul was presented as the far more probable goner.
