10 Little Known Avengers Who Could Make Marvel Millions

1. Moon Knight

Fantasy Casting: Joe Manganeillo

A former boxer and US Marine, Moon Knight certainly brings some bulk to the Avengers. He’s also been a mercenary before, working with archeologists to uncover the statue of Egyptian Moon god Khonshu when he becomes Moon Knight.

The trio goes south quickly, with treachery from the other mercenaries leading to bloodshed. Moon Knight escapes with several of the archeologists, statue in tow, only to discover the cult of Khonshu. These followers allow him to time travel and equip him with various Moon based weaponry.

He’s been compared to Batman, seeing as neither have powers and both use gadgets in shadows, but that’s very surface level. There’s more psychological issues with Moon Knight (he suffers from dissociative identity disorder), as well as more mythology.

Inspired by the Egyptian god, Moon Knight is trying to make amends for the lives he took as a mercenary. He’s one of Marvel’s darker characters, but also more distinct and cinematic; with perhaps some softening of the edges, he’s a perfect addition to the lineup.

Manganiello was considered a front runner for the now nixed Netflix Moon Knight show, and he’d certainly fill the role well on the big screen too.
