10 Little Known Avengers Who Could Make Marvel Millions
7. Jocasta
Fantasy Casting: Olivia Wilde
Jocasta’s roots are firmly linked to Ultron, so there’d need to be some reworking to fit her in, but if they figure it out she’s a great character to have.
Created by Ultron as a bride, he gives her Wasp’s lifeforce and brain patterns to activate her. Jocasta, despite her love for Ultron, realises that in order to live, Wasp must die, and so alerts the Avengers to deactivate her.
Jocasta’s shell then falls into Hank Pym’s hands, but when he activates her she leads the Avengers into Ultron’s trap; but then helps them escape. This is a the core conflict at Jocasta’s centre, and makes her such a fascinating character for the MCU.
She’s programmed to be loyal to Ultron, but frequently rebels against this because she wants to be a force for good.
Though only in an Easter egg, Jocasta does technically exist as well. Along with his girl FRIDAY, who Tony Stark eventually picks as JARVIS’ replacement, a JOCASTA option is clearly visible.
Olivia Wilde’s wide eyed look can portray the naivety of a newly created Jocasta, while her characters from House and Tron show the edge and inner steel needed to portray a well rounded Jocasta.
