10 Major Comic Book Conflicts We Expect To See In Future Marvel Movies

2. Hulk Vs Earth (World War Hulk)

In the comic book version of this particular arc, the events of World War Hulk required another storyline (Planet Hulk, in which Hulk was banished from Earth for being too dangerous) to occur before it came to be. That said, it wouldn't necessarily need to happen first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because a similar scenario could be manufactured due to the Hulk being angered by something else entirely (perhaps merely being banished in to space without all the gladiatorial stuff on the planet Sakaar happening first).

Whatever that €œsomething else entirely€ happened to be, seeing the Hulk running rampant around Marvel Cinematic Universe Earth, attacking other super-powered beings as revenge for whatever had been done to wrong him, would be incredible.

In the comic arc of the same name, Hulk attacked things like the X-Mansion, defeating teams of X-Men in the process, and fought the likes of Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four, all of which would obviously have to be changed in a movie. But he also destroyed Stark Tower, defeated Iron Man, took on various other Avengers members and went up against S.H.I.E.L.D. - all of which could be depicted on screen.

Rather amazingly, Hulk turned Madison Square Garden in to a gladiatorial arena and forced a group of heroes, including Doctor Strange and Iron Man, to fight against a giant tentacle monster (which we guess he'd have to pluck from space or from a secret research lab) and then forced them to fight each other to the death (citing it as €œjustice and not murder€).

It resulted in a final fight in which the Sentry - who, we reiterate, would be a superb addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe - is persuaded to battle the Hulk, after which Bruce Banner is taken in to custody and imprisoned three miles underground.

Seeing the Hulk causing global havoc and wanting to take on the heroic forces of Earth, resulting in an army of heroes stepping up to the plate to stop him, would be great and the fans would surely love it.
