2. Spider-Man Almost Had Eight Legs

Thankfully, this film never happened at all, because it would have been a shambles if it had, as Cannon producers Menahem Golan and his cousin Yoram Globus were set to completely change the concept of Spider-Man if they had their way. Not knowing anything about the Marvel hero, the pair acquired the rights to him and wanted to portray him as a monster in the mould of the classic Universal creatures, but one who had actually turned in to a giant eight-legged spider! He would have been mutated in an experiment gone wrong along with Doctor Octopus - and both characters would have claimed to be Spider-Man. Frankly, it would have been outrageous and undoubtedly the worst comic book movie (if we could even have called it that) of all time.
