10 Major Concerns About Upcoming Movies

1. It'll Probably End On A Predictable Cliffhanger - Halloween Kills

The Matrix 4

Though 2018's Halloween offered up a mostly entertaining sequel to John Carpenter's 1978 original, its ending nevertheless fell back on the same old formulaic tricks, leaving Michael Myers' fate up in the air for another sequel - or two, as the case may be.

Director David Gordon Green has made it abundantly clear that the upcoming Halloween Kills is the second film in a new trilogy, and so it goes without saying that the film will end on some sort of tease to set up a final showdown in the third entry, Halloween Ends.

It seems highly likely that Kills will wrap up with a grim cliffhanger to ensure audiences turn up for Ends, and what could be more traumatic than Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) suffering through the death of either her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) or granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak)?

The death of Karen feels like the more probable of the two, but given how predictable it'd be, let's hope that Kills' sequel-bait setup isn't quite so transparent. A little more imagination, please.
