5. David Tapp's Fate - Saw: The Game
While the question of what happened to Dr Gordon after the events of Saw was purposefully kept vague until the “final” movie, the fate of Danny Glover’s Tapp didn’t seem to be a mystery. He’s shot in the chest during the finale and appears to perish shortly after. His death wasn’t confirmed until the fifth movie, however.
It turns out Tapp had a whole other canon adventure, which was revealed in Saw: The Video Game. Jigsaw saved Tapp following the end of the first movie, healing his wounds and keeping him locked up until he was ready to play a new game. He then locks him in an insane asylum filled with deadly traps, and people that are trying to kill him.
The gameplay itself is a bit clunky, but the intriguing story makes it a treat for hardcore fans. The canon ending ultimately has Tapp escaping and saving a few lives, but he's so consumed by his failure to catch Jigsaw he eventually commits suicide.
