6. Ultron Only Wants Peace - Avengers: Age Of Ultron

If you can think of a more hotly anticipated summer blockbuster heading our way in 2015 we'd love to hear about it. Last year's The Avengers amazed pretty much everyone and proved once and for all that Joss Whedon knows his stuff when it comes to delivering fast-paced, witty and engaging action on a huge scale. Will he deliver again next year? We're more than confident he will. But what do we know about Avengers: Age of Ulton? One thing for sure is that Ultron himself might not be quite the simplistic supervillain some are familiar with. Joss Whedon has already revealed that it will be Tony Stark who creates Ultron rather than Hank Pym as in the comics, and his motivation in the film might be a touch more altruistic than expected. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Chris "Captain America" Evans said of the character, "It's really intelligent stuff. He's out to do the things he wants to do because he's disgusted with X, Y, and Z. You could probably sit down with Ultron and have a really intelligent conversation. He could blow your mind with his views." Could it be that Ultron actually seeks peace on earth, and is misguided in his aims and believes that humans are the main obstacle to this goal? With our warring mentality it's hardly a stretch, and would certainly make the character more complex and nuanced than he otherwise might have turned out. A line rumoured to be from the movie perhaps sums this up best: "I know you're 'good, I know you mean well... but you just didn't think it through... There is only one path to peace... your extermination." We'll find out for certain what his motivations are next summer...
