8. Transformers 4: Dinobots!
If you're excited to see Transformers 4 - especially in the wake of the awful Dark Of The Moon - you probably don't deserve to go to the cinema. The film will probably be a god-awful mess of over-blown effects, under-cooked characters and terrible acting, directed by enthusiastic, but ill-disciplined and unrestrained megalomaniac Michael Bay, who seems to revel in making the wrong decisions with beloved properties. But there may actually be a glimmer of hope for the franchise, as
JoBlo revealed recently that there are strong rumours that Bay is doing the only reasonable thing left to him, and introducing both Galvatron (a villain made up of the broken body of Megatron) and the fan-friendly Dinobots. That revelation is also followed up by the glorious tease that the autobots may be seen riding the dinobots into battle in Hong Kong, presumably against Galvatron and fellow villain Lockdown (
who could be the Freightliner truck Bay recently revealed on his own site.) At this stage, this is unconfirmed by the studio, but we do know the film is shooting in part in China, and we also know that Bay will attempt to push the envelope even further, so it's reasonable to assume he has something grand planned (he's already said the film will feature "a chase from hell," in usual understated fashion.
