3. Carol Redesigns The Suit Herself

Set photos of Brie Larson in her Captain Marvel suit may have raised a few eyebrows to begin with, as the character is seen adopting a blue and teal costume, it's important to remember that it won't be the finished product. Fans of the character will also note that the original design for Captain Marvel was white and green, meaning that the film version could be a homage to the classic get-up.

In any case, don't bet against Carol being the one who redesigns the costume. Red and blue were the colours of Mar-Vell after all, and in looking to honour the Kree spy, Carol could adopt them too.

It's also possible that Mar-Vell arrives in the green and blue hue Carol's been wearing behind the scenes, in which case, the blue and red redesign created by artist Jamie McKelvie could come into play later. Divesting from that other look and having Danvers be the one to instigate that change would also be a great way to comment on the character's past character designs, reiterating the practicality of the latest look and referencing Carol's history with the Air Force in the process.

Less ambiguous, perhaps, are the origins of Danvers' first costume, which looks to be a Kree uniform.
