The big question by the end of The Force Awakens is Who are Reys parents? Luke Skywalker would seem a natural fit, though the Jedi Code (if he still follows it) prevents him from becoming romantically involved with anyone. Did Han and Leia have twins (especially considering twins runs in Leias family)? Some have even conjectured that she may be Obi-Wans granddaughter. In A New Hope there are no flashbacks or overwhelming sense of destiny when Obi-Wan hands Anakins lightsaber to Luke. However, Rey does feel these things when first touching the lightsaber. It even calls to her from some dusty box in Maz's basement. Such a connection could be consider familial. Perhaps the family connection comes from General Leia. We see the two share an intimate embrace when Rey returns from the destruction of the Starkiller Base. Rey also exhibits some of Leia's headstrong attitude. It could be possible that Han left Leia before he knew she was pregnant with Rey, which would explain why he doesn't recognize her. Or it might be that Han isn't the father at all. Whatever the case, we'll either well learn of Reys parents in Episode VIII, or it will be drawn out longer until Episode IX.The most likely scenario would be the information will come to light before Episode VIII ends, which would give all of IX for Rey to deal with the new information. This is the same path the original trilogy follows when Vader reveals his fatherhood to Luke. What else do you expect to see in Star Wars: Episode VIII?
