Rey mirrors Luke from The Empire Strikes Back by seeking out a Jedi master to begin training. Granted, it doesnt take Luke a whole movie to find his master, but the process is still the same. Reinforcing the idea of echoes, Reys outfit even shares the same tones as Lukes during his training on Dagobah. It will be interesting to see what trials Rey is challenged with. Rey seems to be a special case that will most likely go through the same unorthodox training Luke experienced with Yoda. One thing Rey does have going for her is that her training will take place at the First Jedi Temple on Ahch-To, rather than some slimy mud hole in the Outer Rim. Perhaps the temple still has some capacity to serve as a training grounds. It would also be interesting to see if Rey can create a new lightsaber to complete her training. Shes certainly handy with tools, and its very likely that the Jedi temple would have some spare kyber crystals available to make the lightsabers blade. Creating a new lightsaber would help reveal more about her character. Rey's training will be important and most likely a huge part of the middle of the movie. A lot is resting on Rey to take up the mantle of becoming a Jedi knight. Luke has grown old and would certainly need help fighting the youthful Kylo Ren, as well as ending Snokes reign.
