10 Major Resolutions For DC Movies In 2017
3. Show Some Of Clark Kent
Superman has always only ever been part of the story and a major part of the appeal of the character - and indeed of every single superhero with a secret identity - is the magical deception and the irresistible idea that "Gods walk among us". It might be a heavily lampooned part of his backstory, but the idea that Superman is Clark Kent and completely blends in using only glasses and slightly different hair product is as important as him being faster than a speeding bullet and all those other impressive elements.
So it's about time we got to see something more substantial for Clark Kent to do. Even when he was investigating Lex Luthor he was basically outdone by Bruce Wayne and the allusion to his inability to balance being Superman and Clark Kent wasn't followed through enough.
Anyway, who wants to know that Superman can't multi-task and keep up the deception? It's just another case of post-superhero ideology sneaking into the supposed golden age of comic book movies. Just let him have a contented home-life and actually show him being a journalist and a dork, so we can all imagine that by night we too could put on spandex and save the world.
