"But Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye!" you say. Yes, but look at Hulk: Eric Bana, Edward Norton, and Mark Ruffalo all played the angry green giant within 9 years showing that Marvel aren't afraid to re-cast and try new actors in old characters. Renner has been the least charismatic superhero in the glittering cast of Marvel movies and I know that's not necessarily Renner's fault €“ Hawkeye had few scenes in The Avengers and a very brief cameo in Thor €“ but with the growing popularity of the character thanks to Matt Fraction's comics series, Marvel could be looking to make Hawkeye a larger part of the big picture. Both Ant-Man and Hawkeye have both been Avengers too. It wouldn't be surprising to see a solo Hawkeye movie in the near future and I don't think Renner's the most exciting choice for the lead (just look at The Bourne Legacy for proof!). Plus Renner recently complained about the lack of screen time he got as Hawkeye and that discontent could see him leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe, opening up a place for a new actor to step in. Patrick Wilson as Clint Barton, Hawkeye? He's charismatic enough and he's got the look €“ it could be an awesome movie and an exciting choice to include in the Ant-Man film.
