Avengers: Infinity War's character roster is jam-packed with heroes and villains, but it also has a glaring omission: Nick Fury.
As the man who brought the Avengers together, the former SHIELD commander has every right to be there when they make their final stand against Thanos, but his whereabouts in the modern-day MCU are a mystery.
The eye patch-wearing badass disappeared off the radar at the end of The Winter Soldier, but was back to help the Avengers during their hour of need in Age of Ultron. His absence in Civil War was felt and no doubt the fans would appreciate an official explanation regarding his whereabouts in the next two Avengers movies.
Although Fury is AWOL in the 2017 MCU, he's due to make an appearance earlier in its timeline as a supporting cast member in the '90s-set Captain Marvel, which is expected to reveal how he lost his left eye.
