6. Antoine Triplett

Agent Coulson may still be alive and well, but the death of Agent Triplett in the recent midseason finale of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. left fans reeling. Despite being a fairly new addition to the small screen spinoff set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Triplett became a fan-favourite character, and his death was definitive enough to make a return tricky. Exposed to the Inhuman's Terrigen Mists, poor old Triplett quickly turned to stone and then crumbled before the eyes of Skye (aka Daisy Johnson/Quake) when her earthquake powers made themselves known. The only way to bring him back would be to give Triplett a power of his own, and a resurrection - no matter how far-fetched - would please fans. However, a return would arguably cheapen the character's death and greatly lessen the stakes moving forwards, but a clever enough explanation would undoubtedly work if it served the overarching story of the series. After all, with the Inhumans now present in this corner of the MCU, resurrecting Triplett wouldn't really be that hard to believe.
