3. Selvig Is Naked On Television (Thor: The Dark World)

After the events of the Avengers, in which he was mind-controlled by the Asgardian villain Loki, Thor: The Dark World revealed that the experience had left Erik Selvig somewhat... disturbed. Having based himself in England, Selvig was arrested at Stonehenge after stripping nude and apparently harassing bystanders with his laboratory equipment, claiming he was trying to save them. After being put in a mental institution, Selvig continued to explain his theories about the Convergence to his fellow patients. He was, however, spotted on the television at Stonehenge by his associate Darcy Lewis, and she and her intern Ian Boothby discharged him. Unfortunately, the image of him running around starkers on national television will never, ever leave us and he'll never, ever live it down.
