Appeared In: The Incredible Hulk. One of the biggest loose ends from the early days of the MCU continues to be Samuel Sterns, who was last seen smiling as his head began to transform following Bruce Banner's blood entering a wound he'd received courtesy of Emil Blonsky. Comic fans know that Sterns becomes longtime Hulk nemesis the Leader, and the film took the time to set him up as such. And yet here we are - nearly eight years later - and Sterns hasn't been heard from or seen since. Between including General Ross in Civil War and allegedly looking for a way to bring Abomination back, it seems that Marvel is trying to make The Incredible Hulk relevant again. Whether he makes it to the big screen or even surfaces on something like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., bringing Sterns back in some way big or small - preferably, of course, as the Leader - would pay off years of anticipation and finally close the book on the question of what he's been up to.
