10 Marvel Movie Elements That No Longer Matter

8. The Original Infinity Gauntlet

You might remember the Easter egg in Thor, that inside Odin's vault the Infinity Gauntlet could be briefly seen, possibly containing the six Infinity Stones, or perhaps simply six coloured stand-ins until Odin can acquire the Stones. However, in Age of Ultron's mid-credits scene, we see Thanos pick up his own Infinity Gauntlet and plot to find the Stones himself. Some initially suspected that Loki had perhaps allowed Thanos access to Asgard to obtain the Gauntlet, but this was quashed when Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that Thanos didn't get the Gauntlet from Asgard, and that there are in fact two Infinity Gauntlets in the MCU. As such, whatever reason Feige had for placing the Gauntlet in Asgard (it was just a non-canonical Easter egg, or it's a replica to appease the people of Asgard), it really doesn't seem to matter now, as Thanos has his own one and has no need to acquire it.
