7. Cloak And Dagger - Daniel Kaluuya And Amanda Seyfried
Cloak (Tyrone Johnson) and Dagger (Tandy Bowen) are two heroes who inhabit the grittier, street level side of the Marvel Comics universe, albeit with a bit of a mystical twist thanks to their abilities and dress sense. These two were runaways who became friends after helping each other out on the mean streets of New York. When a potentially deadly new drug was tested on them, they developed amazing abilities. Tyrone became Cloak, with the power to teleport and become intangible. Tandy became Dagger, wielding the abilities to create knives made of light, which she could either lob at people or use for healing purposes. Together they began hunting down the drug dealers that experimented on them, and have since teamed up with pretty much every superhero going. Its worth noting that we were later told that Cloak and Dagger are mutants (the drug just awakened their latent abilities). So the legal side of things is a bit complicated for these two. Its believed that Marvel has the film rights, though. Amanda Seyfried would be perfect as Dagger. Youd believe her as a down-and-out street dweller and as a superhero later on. The same goes for Daniel Kaluuya, who impressed as a young-but-street-smart law enforcer in Sicario. If not a movie, this one could be perfect for Netflix.
