10 Marvel Universe Villains Who Should Unite To Form The Masters Of Evil

2. The Real Mandarin

If you didn't already know, Marvel have ditched their stance on the "real Mandarin" being Aldrich Killian by revealing, through a One-Shot called "All Hail the King", that the actual Mandarin is still at large in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The One-Shot saw a documentary maker called Jackson Norris visiting Trevor Slattery - the bumbling British actor hired to portray the Mandarin in videos in Iron Man 3 - in Seagate Prison to discuss his involvement with Aldrich Killian. During Norris' final session with Slattery, he reveals himself to be a member of the Ten Rings organisation and tries to kill Slattery. Norris tells Slattery that the real Mandarin is angry with him for making a mockery of his name, going a small way to rectifying the mess made with the character in Iron Man 3. Although we haven't met the real Mandarin yet, it's safe to assume he'll be closer to the comic book version in terms of presentation. With that in mind, he is likely to be a martial artist of epic skill, possessing ten rings each granting exotic powers, such as telepathy, various energy blasts and control over various forms of weather and matter. He is extremely unlikely to be the main villain in an Iron Man movie, given that a version of the Mandarin already has been, but to not ever show him on screen would be a shame. Therefore, he could maybe become a member of the Masters of Evil of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, giving the fans what they want to see without Marvel having to repeat themselves in an Iron Man solo outing.
