4. Massacre
There are some characters in the Marvel Universe that are straight-up psychotic in a way that is a little too real for the likes of the family-focused MCU. Massacre is one of these characters.
A failed assassination attempt left Marcus Lyman a widower with the inability to feel emotion. Doomed to a forever spent in the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane, he escapes twice and wreaks havoc with sprees of killing innocent civilians.
No Spider-Man or superpowers are necessary for this film. Just one man against a world who wronged him, and one woman — his therapist Dr. Ashley Kafka — trying to help a man who can't be saved.
With the right cast, this movie has the potential to be powerfully dramatic, emotionally draining, and a contender for an Academy Award.
