10 Marvel Villains That Deserve The Joker Film Treatment

3. Doctor Doom

Carnage Movie
Marvel Comics

Doctor Doom is coming to the MCU sooner or later, which may make it seem illogical for Marvel to produce a separate, stand-alone Doom film simultaneously.

With rumors already swirling that an actor not named Joaquin Phoenix may play The Joker in Matt Reeves The Batman trilogy, Marvel should fell comfortable enough to take the same gamble. Although the Wayne family played heavily into the plot, much of the story's focus was solely on Arthur Fleck.

Similarly, a film focusing on Doom's rise to power in Latveria, with flashbacks to his tragic early life and accident involving Reed Richards, would paint Doom as a sympathetic character almost deserving the audience's forgiveness for his descent into villainy.
