3. What's M's Real Name? - Skyfall
Quite a few actors have played M throughout the Bond series, but none have left the same impression as Judi Dench. She was so good that when the series was given a soft reboot with Craig’s Bond, she was kept on despite it making no sense in terms of continuity.
She returned one last time for Skyfall, where she became the Bond girl of the story. It’s probably Dench's finest work in the role, and her death is one of the most emotional scenes in the series; both for Bond and the audience.
M obviously had plenty of secrets, with her real name being the biggest of all. Bond almost blurts it during Casino Royale, only to be threatened with death if he does. For the keen easter egg hunters out there Skyfall oh so subtly reveals her moniker; when Bond receives her Bulldog statue as a parting gift, the name on the box reads Olivia Mansfield.
