10 Massively Missed Opportunities In Recent Movies

10. NOT Making The Rock Grow Giant At The End - Rampage

Rampage Dwayne Johnson
Warner Bros.

What Should've Happened

As soon as the movie adaptation of iconic video game Rampage was announced to be starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, pretty much everybody made one extremely reasonable assumption about the film.

It would probably end with Johnson injecting himself with the same pathogen that made the gorilla, wolf and crocodile grow to epic proportions, right?

Because in a film this aware of its own stupidity, how could any director resist the urge to have a 50-foot CGI version of The Rock layin' the king-sized smack down on a couple of digital monsters? It is exactly what everyone wanted to see.

What Actually Happened

It not only doesn't happen, but the film actively gives the audience blue balls by teasing the prospect after Johnson's protagonist Davis Okoye becomes brutally wounded.

It at first seems like he'll need to inject himself with the serum in order to save his own life - and grow colossally large in the process - but Davis' wound is quickly shrugged off like it's nothing, and he sadly spends the entire movie at his regular stature.

Because as huge as The Rock may be compared to any one of us, he's still an ant when stood next to a gorilla the size of your house.

Fingers crossed that the whispered-about sequel might finally pull the trigger and give audiences what they want. Include a shot in the trailer of The Rock giving an oversized rat a Rock Bottom and you've got $800 million worldwide guaranteed.
