2. The Wasp
As a founder member of the Avengers, fans have been waiting for the Wasp to join the team since she entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015, and no doubt they could use some extra sting in their tail when the Infinity War begins.
Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne is, however, sitting this one out. She's due to suit up as the shrinking heroine for the first time in July this year when Ant-Man and the Wasp buzzes into cinemas. After earning her superhero stripes, The Wasp will join Scott Lang among the ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Avengers 4.
Van Dyne is expected to have a significant role to play in the Infinity Saga, though it remains unclear how Ant-Man and the Wasp will impact on the events of the next two Avengers movies, given how its release is sandwiched in between them.
Reports suggest at least part of the story will pick up in the wake of Captain America: Civil War, but there's bound to be crossover since Ant-Man is in all three films.
