10 MCU Deleted Scenes That Should've Stayed In Their Movies

8. Bucky Wants That Shield! (Captain America: Civil War)

The Scene: Set during Civil War's epic airport fight, this short clip sees both Bucky Barnes and The Falcon utilising Cap's shield in an attempt to take down a rather angry looking War Machine, who's aggressively firing explosives on the titular hero.

Why It Should've Stayed: Civil War's airport scene is a fan-favourite moment, and it's not hard to see why. Every single character gets a moment to shine, and it wasn't just action for the sake of action; it served the story and allowed groups of characters to interact in interesting ways.

And this brief snippet is no different. Besides being a cool action beat in and of itself, it actually goes a long way in defining Cap's abilities and helping us understand his strength as a hero. By showing that anyone can use the shield, we're given proof that Cap is more than just a shield, something he frequently gets accused of in basically every movie.

If anyone can use the shield as capably as him, that's not what's special about him. It's his moral compass, his values and his commitment to his friends. It would have been nice to see this clip make it into the movie for that reason alone, on top of the fact that it's just plain cool.
