10 MCU Deleted Scenes That Should've Stayed In Their Movies

7. Missing Sceptre (The Avengers)

The Scene: This missing scene is actually two rolled into one, but it's the second half that's more worthy of inclusion.

After discussing the currently-happening Battle Of New York with the Other via his mind-phone, Loki suddenly realises he's left his precious sceptre atop Stark Tower - leading to Black Widow grabbing it, closing the portal and ending the battle.

Doh.

Why It Should've Stayed: The Avengers featured a miniature 'plot hole' with regards to Loki and his sceptre, in that he just leaves it lying around on top of Stark Tower, and seemingly forgets about it for the rest of the movie.

It was odd, especially considering that it's been his primary weapon throughout the film, and he wouldn't have got half as far without it. This quick moment clears this up by explaining that, no, he hasn't forgotten about it - he's just busy.

The first part of the scene is mostly unnecessary, but if those final few seconds had been slotted into the third act somewhere, it would've filled in one of the few tiny cracks the movie actually had.
