10 MCU Deleted Scenes That Should've Stayed In Their Movies

5. Uses Of Pym Particles (Ant-Man)

The Scene: Set within the Futures Lab, this scene finds Darren Cross pitching the various uses of Pym Particles to a group of buyers.

As the camera weaves through the room we can see a group of shrunken shipping containers and a huge pile of rubbish that's been reduced to the size of a small animal. And there's an eye. For reasons unknown.

Why It Should've Stayed: Hank Pym's shrinking technology would be insanely useful in real-life, and would cure a lot of problems faced by modern society on a daily basis - waste disposal, storage, etc.

But this fact never fully came across in the movie. Here, it was just a case of "Oh, Pym Particles? Yeah let's become a superhero - Ant-Man! - and kick some butt."

By being shown the real-world applications of this tech, the whole concept of the Pym Particles starts to feel less fictitious, and more tangible. We start to feel like it could exist in our world rather than just the heightened, fantastical reality of the MCU, where strangely, nobody seems to be discussing the huge impact this shrinking ability would have on the planet.

Ant-Man was a hard sell, especially when the bugs themselves came into play. The movie did a good job investing us in the ludicrous concept but little moments like this would have made it even easier to swallow.
