10 MCU Deleted Scenes That Should've Stayed In Their Movies

6. Mother's Words (Thor: The Dark World)

The Scene: Another two-part scene, but this time, both are equally as compelling. It starts with an interaction between Frigga and Loki, as she shares a tender moment with her son, before moving into a conversation between Frigga and Thor, as the pair discuss the black-haired trickster and his state of mind.

Why It Should've Stayed: Thor: The Dark World is widely regarded as one of Marvel's weaker efforts, and that's probably because solid material like this was axed.

For starters, Frigga's death felt largely throwaway for the simple fact that we didn't get to spend enough time with her, and she wasn't anywhere near as three-dimensional as she needed to be for her murder to have a big impact.

Showing her interacting with both her sons would lend weight to the moment she perishes, and help us sympathize with Loki, Thor and Odin a lot more.

Loki's transformation from evil mastermind in The Avengers to a much more restrained goody two-shoes for most of the Thor sequel always felt pretty abrupt too, and little nuggets like this would go a long way toward expanding on his emotional journey.
