10 MCU End Scenes That Were Scrapped

A lot of MCU movies have underwhelming post-credits scenes, but Captain Marvel's double-whammy was actually pretty great.

Its mid-credits scene was a tease for Avengers: Endgame, showing Captain Marvel linking up with Cap, Hulk, and the other heroes that survived Thanos' snap. Then, its post-credits scene - while largely inconsequential in terms of the ongoing narrative - was a fun one, showing Goose the cat barfing up the Tesseract onto Nick Fury's desk.

However, early in production, there was an idea for a completely different post-credits scene, one that would've highlighted the fate of Jude Law's character, Yon-Rogg.

At the end of the movie, Captain Marvel puts Yon-Rogg into a pod, and programs its destination for Hala, the Kree homeworld. This is the last we see of him, but the alternate post-credits scene would've revealed that he didn't make it back to Hala.

Instead, he was going to crash-land on Sakaar, the junk planet that was first introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, and more specifically, he was going to crash-land near the Devil's Anus, the massive wormhole that Thor flies through in that same movie.

It remains to be seen if Yon-Rogg will appear in future MCU projects, but since this post-credits scene was scrapped... we don't actually know where his pod ended up.
