10 MCU Movie Cameos That Almost Happened

Since everyone with a hot-take on the supposed MCU villain problem likes to be vocal about the needless frequency with which good villains (or at least reusable ones) are killed off, you'd think Marvel would do a little more with the ones they've currently got on ice.

We might yet see more of those captured and not quite killed off baddies in future movies (and even more if the rumours of time travel are legitimate), but we might not have had to wait for that if the original plans for Avengers: Age Of Ultron had come to fruition.

According to Tim Roth (via Crave Online), there was initially a plan to set the hulking villain loose in Joss Whedon's sequel before it became yet another scrapped plan:

“They were going to do it. They did do that. They were thinking, in The Avengers 2 or something. There was a movie we could do that at one point, but way back when. It just kind of got swept under the carpet I guess. That would be hilarious.”

It's a shame it didn't happen, but hopefully the door remains open.
