10 MCU Movie Cameos That Almost Happened

3. Stan Lee (Sort Of) - Guardians

Obviously, Stan Lee has appeared in every MCU movie to date and will continue to do so until he's no longer able to. They might not be particularly notable in terms of storyline impact, but there's definitely a currency around seeing how the film-makers have used him for every new release.

So far, the best cameo was in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2, but his originally planned appearance in James Gunn's original Guardians movie might have outshone it.

Originally, Lee was supposed to appear in a cameo as one of the exhibits in the Collector's collection, locked in a glass display cabinet. Or at least, a stunt double looking a lot like Lee would have been.

Sadly, it was cut, but we did get to see what it would have looked like.
