4. John C Reilly - Thor: Ragnarok

Given the sheer number of characters in the MCU, it's inevitable that some of the side characters who could be interesting enough to get expanded focus end up being cast aside mostly. That's definitely the case for John C Reilly's Rhomann Dey from Guardians Of The Galaxy, who feels like a bit of a waste for an actor as recognisable as Reilly.

Frustratingly, we could have seen more of him in Thor: Ragnarok, as Taika Waititi wanted to boost his sequel's comedy muscle even more by bringing Dey back for another appearance. Unfortunately, the director simply couldn't find an organic way to get him into the script, so the idea was dropped.

Now we can only assume that he's going to meet his end when Thanos heads to Xandar to steal the Power Stone. Let's just hope he gets to do it on screen.
