10 MCU Scenes Everyone Wishes They Could Unsee
1. All The Terrible One-Liners - Avengers: Age Of Ultron
We've already covered Bruce Banner falling face-first into Black Widow's cleavage in Age of Ultron, but the rest of the movie is crammed full of tiresome, unfunny one-liners that largely end up detracting from the seriousness of Ultron's threat, or are otherwise just totally cringe-worthy.
For starters, there's the opening fight, where Tony Stark tells an absent Banner and Black Widow that he hopes they're not "playing hide the zucchini."
Later while trying to pick up Mjolnir, Stark also jokes that he'll be "reinstituting prima nocta" as the new ruler of Asgard, which is a lord's right to insist upon sex with any bride under his rule on her wedding night. Yikes.
And of course there's the recurring, oft-mocked "language!" gag where Cap pulls the Avengers up on their colourful verbiage, not to forget Black Widow shouting "Beep beep!" as she rides a motorcycle through a crowded city area.
No MCU movie has suffered more than Age of Ultron for over-relying upon mediocre "humour" in a misguided attempt to lighten its tone. Sometimes less is more, Joss.
