10 Milestones That Must Happen In The Amazing Spider-Man 3

9. We Need To Refocus The Uncle Ben Thing

The Amazing Spider-Man franchise has proven itself successful in a number of areas, but one area in which it has failed rather noticeably is that of Uncle Ben's death. Though the incident was rendered to a point of sadness in the first Amazing Spider-Man flick, the writers never really bothered to clarify how his ultimately death influenced Peter Parker's decision to become Spider-Man. We never "sensed" that the occurrence drove Peter to be Spidey. And in the second movie, too, there was still a fairly sizeable lack of clarification on the matter, almost as if the writers were unsure as to whether or not to go down the "Uncle Ben's death made Spider-Man into Spider-Man" route out of fear that they would be stepping on ground already covered in the Sam Raimi movies. The lack of the famous and iconic "With great power comes great responsibility" line reinforces this theory. Clarification needed.
