It’s almost impossible to not immediately compare the Dollmaker to Texas Chainsaw Massacre icon Leatherface, even when looking solely at their stitched and spooky faces, both made from the skin of humans.

In fact – given Dollmaker is a serial killer who makes the skin of his victims into dolls – were Dollmaker to feature in a film alongside Leatherface, few people would likely bat an eyelid.

As such, Dollmaker manages to be one of Batman’s more unnerving beatdowns. While fighting in an abandoned hospital is as common as push-ups for Batman, a hospital full of the weird teammates Dollmaker has quite literally put together is another, creepier thing entirely.

That said, none of this fight is as weird as later finding out Dollmaker apparently has a biological child, which is somehow scarier than any human skin doll ever.
