10 Mind Blowing Uses Of Music In Movies

6. "Bohemian Rhapsody" - Wayne's World

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STt9dqPsFTE And now for something a little less serious, here's a scene that just surrenders the joy of hearing a classic song, and how it makes you just want to bang your head like a maniac. It all begins with, "A little Bohemian Rhapsody, gentlemen?", and is a great way to help introduce us to Wayne, Garth and their colourful collection of friends (one of whom is extremely wasted). Director Penelope Spheeris cuts into the song a few times to introduce some of the film's running gags - specifically "Oh yes, it will be mine" - though for my money, the most hilarious moments occurs at the more ballad-esque part of the song, where Garth doesn't even know the words and just mimes along cluelessly. It would have been easy for this scene to be pointlessly self-indulgent, but it's imbued with so much youthful energy and sheer fun that it's impossible not to like, and a great way to warm us to the characters.
