9. The Ralph "Boner" Joke - WandaVision

As thrilled as we all were to see Wanda's (Elizabeth Olsen) twin brother Pietro show up in WandaVision - albeit in the surprise form of Evan Peters' version from Fox's X-Men universe - fans winced in unison when the full truth was revealed.

In the series' final episode, we learn that "Pietro" is actually an actor named Ralph Bohner, who has been forced to impersonate Pietro by Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn).

This is discovered by Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), leading to the cringe-worthy scene where she reads his name from a headshot and calls him "Ralph Boner."

This felt like the sort of joke we'd expect to hear from Joss Whedon a decade ago. Beyond that, it prompted many fans to surmise that Marvel Studios basically hired Evan Peters for the sake of a boner joke, while making us all think he was playing the actual X-Men Quicksilver for several episodes. Boo.
