10 minutes of boring Die Hard 4 footage online

200px-livefreeordiehard_american_poster.jpgThe idea behind releasing ten minutes of actual footage from your upcoming movie is a very good one, in principle. For example, those guys who are sitting on the fence as to whether they want to see your flick or not, could possibly be swayed into seeing it with the footage you release when they probably wouldn't have otherwise. Of course there is also the danger that the footage you show doesn't interest them at all. That's kind of the feeling I am getting with the ten minutes from Live Free or Die Hard that has been released by 20th Century Fox. I know the scenes aren't going to be much in the film and it's all story setup anyway, but it just looks so poorly executed that it really turns you off the idea of paying to see the film. The computer hacking business looks so dry and conventional, the first meeting of Justin Long and Bruce Willis (yes, that's Willis DEFINTELY NOT MCCLANE) feels uncomfortable and yes the footage picks up near the end, but well before that I started yawning at this footage. This Die Hard movie looks like your typical Hollywood action thriller. And for God's sake, can this Len Wiseman not trust his actors with steady long takes? Why does he feel the need to move his camera all the time? CLICK HERE TO SEE THE FOOTAGE (streams to your pc on windows media player). For those on the fence has this swayed you into seeing it? Has it made you want to avoid the film, or has it just left you with the feeling... "wow, that looks boring!" like it has done with me? source - slash film
