10 Moments When Comic Book Movie Villains Were Totally Humiliated

2. Magneto Defeated With Mutant Cure (X-Men: The Last Stand)

There are few comic book Villains who have as much dignity as Magneto. Throughout the course of X-Men 3, he rails against the Mutant Cure with the zeal of a true revolutionary and the gravitas of a Roman emperor. And yet, like Sebastian Shaw, in the end of the film he falls for the oldest trick in the book - a simple bait and switch. Magneto has never been altogether impressed by Logan's attempts to attack him, metal skeleton and all, but this distraction was a stunningly easy one that he still falls for. Wolverine is flung at him by Colossus, which distracts him while Beast sneaks up behind him and stabs him with a handful of syringes full of the mutant cure, stripping him of his metal-bending powers. This is the biggest humiliation Erik Lensherr could ever have suffered - to be reduced to just an ordinary human. He would be immensely grateful for it being retconned by the events of Days of Future Past, if he could remember that it happened.
