10 MORE Actors Who Played Multiple Roles In The MCU
1. Stan Lee
There's no question that Marvel Comics co-founder Stan Lee reigns supreme when it comes to performing multiple roles in the MCU. When Lee started popping up in the films, fans thought it would be funny if he was playing the same character every time. But since Captain America: The First Avenger takes place in the 1940s, this theory didn't sound feasible.
However, this spawned another potential theory. Fans suggested that Lee was actually a Watcher; a celestial being from the comics that oversees all significant evens in the universe. When Marvel Studios got wind of this idea, they incorporated it in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in a scene where we Lee speaking to the Watchers.
But, wait... if Stan Lee's characters are all the same person, doesn't that he mean he technically didn't play multiple roles?
Not at all. You see, Stan the Man also played a character in every MCU TV series up until his death, which includes Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher, and Runaways. Since these characters are not tied to the Watcher that Lee portrays, he technically played more roles in the MCU than anyone.
