Of all the deaths in Jurassic Park, the Dilophosaurus definitely offers up the most gnarly one. Whilst it's one thing getting being crunched up by a Tyrannosaurus Rex, or hunted down by a pack of Velociraptors, it's entirely another to have venom spat in your face before you're torn apart in the confines of a claustrophobic car interior. Yikes.

'Poor Dennis Nedry' rings rather hollow though, since the whole reason the computer programmer gets himself into this mess in the first place is by trying to betray the titular park, by stealing dinosaur embryos to sell to a rival company. Stumbling around in a storm after losing his way to the docks, Nedry is faced with the frilled menace after antagonising the creature with a stick and threatening to run the dinosaur over.

A face full of goopy venom later, and he's not so smart after all. There's a clear reason Jurassic Park won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects - so it's best to just be thankful we didn't see his actual demise realised in full actuality on screen too. One little taste of the Dilophosaurus was more than enough.
